Marcel Kofi Agbedzinu, Esq.
Marcel Kofi Agbedzinu, Esq. is a highly accomplished transactional lawyer and top-tier advisor in real estate, private equity, and banking law. With over 20 years of experience in land administration consultancy and practice, he offers unmatched expertise in title registration, secured lending, legal due diligence, and complex property transactions.
He is a Partner of the law firm Legal Relief Trust and currently works from the firm’s office at ACP Estate Junction, Pokuase. There, he provides strategic legal services to individuals, financial institutions, landowning families, and corporate clients. His work is grounded in precision, practicality, and an in-depth understanding of Ghana’s legal and property frameworks.
Prior to joining Legal Relief Trust, Marcel served as Head of Compliance and Associate Lawyer at Gyandoh-Asmah & Co., where he led land documentation and compliance teams across the Accra and Kumasi branches. He was responsible for supporting major clients such as Stanbic Bank and Standard Chartered Bank with title verification, mortgage registration, and legal opinions on land security. His leadership in this role strengthened the firm’s real estate and banking law practice.
He also worked with Stanbic Bank Ghana as a Collateral Maintenance Officer, where he managed extensive portfolios of legal and property documentation for secured lending. His responsibilities included document tracking, collateral registration, insurance follow-up, and managing legal vendors — all of which helped enhance the bank’s risk control processes in credit administration.
Earlier in his career, Marcel served as Land Compliance Officer at Minkah-Premo & Co., handling property documentation, searches, site plan coordination, deed stamping, and registration services. His work supported real estate clients and financial institutions in processing over a thousand land and mortgage documents across the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Western, and Central Regions.
In addition to his legal practice, Marcel gained practical field experience in valuation and land management through prior engagements with Woods Consultancy Services, Alpha Property Services, and the Lands Commission of Ghana. His early work involved mass property revaluation, acquisition documentation for state lands, compensation assessment, and field data collection — further grounding his advisory work in hands-on land governance.
Marcel holds a BSc in Land Economy from KNUST, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London, United Kingdom, and a Qualifying Certificate from the Ghana School of Law. He is a proud member of the Ghana Bar Association, known for combining legal precision with commercial insight to support sustainable development, land justice, and investment facilitation.
